THE VISITOR BOOK

We were invited by Komplot for the exhibition’s scenography and the book design of the Hisk laureates 2011
'The Visitor'.

We contributed to the time-based focus of the project by featuring a calendar of the time-span of the exhibition on the book’s front cover. When a visitor receive the catalogue, it's signed on the visit day. On the back cover is a floor plan of the HISK building with the artists’ names marked in the space assigned to them. This pattern in turn informed the order in which the artists appear in the publication, thereby binding the publication to a specific time and place, via both covers and content. The pages are graduated with an abstract timeline that create a text on the fore edge of the book which changes depending of the way your holding the book.
